Carney pauses electric vehicle mandate, announces new 'buy Canadian' policy

Applauding the announcement, APMA President Flavio Volpe said “We punted on the EV mandates at a time when this isn’t going to work, but I like the fact that we’ll do a short review. While we’re trying to make sure that those foreign automakers remain committed here, let’s not punish them with $3 billion of new costs.”
