Canadian Auto-Parts Makers Relieved by Tariff Pause

President Trump’s declaration of a 30-day pause on Canadian import tariffs came at the last minute for Canadian auto parts suppliers, and laid bare how vulnerable the tightly integrated North American supply chain is to disruptions like tariffs, said Flavio Volpe, president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association, a Canadian industry group.
