Canada ‘should not relent’ in trade talks, say industry reps who say auto sector needs zero tariffs

APMA President Flavio Volpe argued, “We just need a [CUSMA]-exemption, or the dropping of sectoral tariffs on cars, period,” he said. “It’s a pretty binary argument on why that’s necessary, and it’s the central premise of any conversation we have on Canada-U.S. negotiations.”
