Catch APMA President Flavio Volpe’s recent interview on CPAC with Michael Serapio.

Flavio discussed Project Arrow, Canada’s first zero-emission concept vehicle, and a new feasibility study exploring what it would take to launch a homegrown Canadian automaker.

While Project Arrow showcases the capabilities of Canadian suppliers and tech leaders, the feasibility study is the first step toward assessing whether Canada could build and sustain its own auto brand—creating an end market for critical minerals, boosting economic resilience, and protecting Canada’s supply chain from external shocks.

Flavio notes that this would be an industry-led initiative, with government support but not government-driven, and would complement—not compete with—existing automakers in Canada by serving as an import substitute.
