Automakers weigh more U.S. assembly, price out onshoring parts amid tariffs, Canadian suppliers say

A report on shifting demands as automakers turn from European and Asian suppliers towards on-shoring in North America. “Trusting the USMCA-based parts exemption has been the most bankable posture in this trade war because it’s based on a U.S. need, not a negotiated concession,” said Flavio Volpe, APMA President.
