How the Association Operates

Through its Board and Committee structure, APMA provides a unique format to collaboratte and share ideas, strategy, bench marking, best practices and initiatives among members. 

APMA Committees and Councils

Annual Conference
Develops and coordinates the Annual Conference and Exhibition to assure its continued success as the automotive supply industry networking event in Canada.

Environment, Energy, Health & Safety
Examines and reviews issues in the areas of environment, energy and health & safety that may have a negative impact on the members of APMA and the Canadian automotive supply industry.

Human Resources Development
Provides members with an environment to identify and address strategic issues, share best practices, recommend solutions and promote the wellbeing of the supplier industry by supporting the effective implementation of human resources practices.

Innovation and Technology
Evaluates and encourages innovation initiatives among APMA members, and internally, within companies.

Marketing and Strategic Initiatives
Provides perspective and guidance in supporting members in developing trade and investment opportunities as a source of growth and competitive advantage.

Strategic Purchasing
The Committee works with APMA members and OE customers to drive change to dated and ineffective approaches, relative to Purchasing and Supply Management.

Ad Hoc Committees
Established, as needed, to examine specific or immediate issues. Most recently, Pension Review; Steel Pricing and Minority Sourcing.
